Updated: Mar 29, 2020

"Oh my God what is she doing here?"

"Shhhh...just stay calm and quiet. I will go down stairs and find out what is going on and get her to leave."

"You don't think she will figure out that you have another woman here when she see's the leftover food?"

"No, that is all cleaned up. My staff took care of the dishes when we finished eating."

"Staff? I didn't see anyone."

"They are very good at being inconspicuous."

"Even so, my purse is still downstairs."

"Crap! Ok, you stay here and keep quiet and I will try to get rid of her and I will be back to get you."

"Wait, you expect me to stay here?"

"Just until I can get her to leave."

"And if she doesn't?"

"She will" he said as he walked out of the door.

Jasmine, you are an idiot. I can't believe I had reduced myself to this. Here I am hiding in a fancy glass box waiting for a man to come rescue me like freaking Repunzel. I am not this girl I thought to myself angrily. I am going to get out of the little glass house and never turn back.

Downstairs Greg met Natalia as she was walking in the front door. She really was a beautiful woman. Natalia was one of those women who looked great wearing a t-shirt. She had beautiful caramel skin, She had thick black coily hair, long legs, and a coke bottle shape. He gave her a quick peck on the cheek as he headed towards the dining room to try to find Jasmine's purse before Natalia had a chance to see it.

"Hey babe, what are you doing here? I thought you were hanging out with the girls tonight?" He said.

"I just didn't feel like going out. I'm having a rough day and I just wanted to see you and hold you."

He found her purse and tossed it into one of the kitchen cabinets as she was walking into the kitchen. He spun around quickly.

"What's wrong with you?" she said moving further into the kitchen.

"Nothing. Why do you think something is wrong?"

"You are acting weird, jumpy." She glanced around the room briefly as if she were looking for something.

"Nope. I'm just weird you know that. I know you have had a bad day so how about you head home and I will go to Jennie's and grab some of your favorite ice cream and I will bring a bottle of wine and we can watch movies and talk?"

"But I'm already here and I'm sure you have ice cream in your freezer. Besides, I really needed a change of scenery. Being in my house is so depressing. I just keep replaying everything in my head from that day we..." Her voice trailed off as tears began to flow down her cheeks. Greg walked over to Natalia and hugged her tight and kissed her forehead.

"It's ok. Ok we can stay here. Go in the bedroom and find something funny for us to watch and I will grab some snacks and meet your upstairs ok?"

"ok." Natalia headed off towards the master bedroom and Greg made a mad dash upstairs.

"Finally, is she gone?" Jasmine said.

"Not quite. Change in plans. I am not going to be able to get her to go home. She is having a bad day and being at her place has her triggered. I am so sorry about all of this. I told my driver to meet you at the back of the house. I'm going to make sure she stays in the room and then he will take you home." As he was talking he heard the sound of footsteps. He ran down the stairs and almost into Natalia.

"Heeeeey, I thought you were going to find something for us to watch."

"I had to go to the bathroom. Are you sure you are ok? What are you doing?"

"I just ran to my room to grab a surprise for you. I thought it might make you feel better."

"Well, where is it?" She asked.

"I left it upstairs when I heard you coming and I didn't want to ruin the surprise."

"Ooooook" she said as she turned to go back into the room.

Greg let out a sigh of relief and headed back upstairs.

Oh...my...God let me out of this nightmare. "Is she gone?"

"Yeah, I told her that I was up here getting a present for her. Soooooo, I need a present. Can I have your earrings? I promise I will replace them but I can't go back without something."

" You have got be kidding me. You know what? Here, keep them. I just want to get out of this house and away from you. I knew I shouldn't have come here."

"C'mon don't say that. I thought we were having a good time. I just have to get her over this hump and then it will just be you and me I promise."

"No, I'm done with this. You can go play another female for a fool." She grabbed her things and headed down the stairs to the back of the house quickly. She met the driver who took her home. Later that night he text but I didn't reply. I was done playing games. I needed a man who knew what he wanted and could make decisions. The next couple of weeks passed without much excitement. After two weeks of ignoring his calls and text he finally stopped. I had let go of my feelings for him mostly. No contact was the best way to get over a crush.

As I was getting ready for work I made my favorite pre work shake when suddenly I became violently ill. I ran to the bathroom and threw up. After about 30 minutes it passed and I left for work. What was that all about I thought to myself. I have been drinking the same meal replacement shake for years and never got sick before. I forgot about it and went to work. The next morning as I was getting off from work my phone buzzed. I looked down at the notification. It was my period app.

"Did you forget to input your period? Three days late."

With everything that had been going on lately I had completely forgotten about my period. I was never late. I went to a local grocery store and picked up a pregnancy test. When I got home I went straight to the bathroom. I peed on the stick and began the longest three minutes of my life.
